uRADMonitor® for schools
Integrated environmental monitoring for school buildings

Air quality and noise monitoring network for schools

Stations in the schoolyard and in the classrooms, linked into one network. The data is public in real time on the school's dashboard and through an API, for school management, teachers, parents and researchers.

For contractors and integrators: we supply the devices, a line-by-line compliance table for your tender specification and the documents for handover. Tell us what the specification requires and we reply with the configuration that covers it.

The solution

One network: outdoor, indoor, one platform

The schoolyard station measures the outdoor air. The classroom stations measure the air the pupils breathe. Comparing the two shows when to ventilate, when to keep the windows shut and how much noise reaches the classroom.

Devices

Four stations, two roles

Choose one outdoor station per building and the indoor stations according to the number of rooms in the project. List prices per unit, excluding VAT.

Standard

  • 1 × A3 Stevenson in the schoolyard
  • 1 × A3 aluminium in each monitored room

Covers the usual specification: PM, CO₂, O₃, VOC, noise, metal housing, GSM.

Specs with traffic gases

Extended

  • 1 × CITY + 1 × A3 Stevenson outdoors
  • 1 × A3 aluminium in each room

For specifications that also list CO, NO₂, SO₂. Nitric oxide NO is not measured separately.

Lower budget

Building + classrooms

  • 1 × A3 Stevenson outdoors
  • 1 × A3 aluminium per building
  • 1 × SMOGGIE-CO2 in each classroom

CO₂ in every classroom at low cost. Check that the specification does not require all parameters in every room.

Open data

Every school gets a public dashboard

All the school's stations on one page: a daily air quality score, monthly calendar, charts, exceedance events and impact. The page is available in English and Romanian and exports to PDF for annual reporting.

Live example: Dumbrăvița School dashboard.

Raw data is available through the API in real time, for your own applications, the school website or research.

  • School management: evidence of the monitoring system for certification, PDF reports
  • Teachers: see classroom CO₂ and ventilate on time; data for science lessons
  • Parents: public page, no account needed
  • Researchers: API and historical data comparable across schools in the network

uRADMonitor has been designed and manufactured in Romania since 2015, with stations in more than 60 countries. MODEL A3 has been evaluated by AIRPARIF AIRLAB, AQ-SPEC South Coast AQMD and INCD ECOIND and is used in many scientific studies, for example a year of indoor air monitoring in a Romanian hospital.

Questions
Is air quality monitoring in schools mandatory?

It depends on the country and the project. The EU buildings directive (2024/1275, Art. 13) requires indoor air quality monitoring devices in new zero-emission non-residential buildings and, where feasible, at major renovations. Several countries go further: Romania's green schools methodology requires a sensor network in occupied rooms, and the Netherlands requires CO₂ monitors in classrooms. This summary is for orientation, not legal advice.

Why GSM for the main stations?

School WiFi passwords change often. The data SIM included for 10 years, with international roaming, lets A3 and CITY report without setup and without the school network.

What maintenance is needed?

On the A3, the PM, ozone and formaldehyde sensors are replaced about every 2 years with a kit that fits in 20 minutes. Annual maintenance contracts are available.
